At the time of the 1930 census, Boyd "Pete" Burnette resided with his Uncle Wheeler and Aunt
Esther Burnette, who were childless,  at their house on the hill east below Piney Mountain
Baptist Church. Years later, after marriage to Helen Brown, he lived there again with his own
family.
