Jasper Allen Childers
18 April 1835 - 24 February 1915
Civil War Service:
Confederate 65th NC State Troops (NC Cavalry, 6th
Regiment), Company E, Private; enlisted 7 July 1862,
Macon County, 7th battalion, Company A, which was later
combined with the 5th NC Cavalry battalion to form the 6th
NC Cavalry Regiment. In 1864, Company E was stationed
near Kinston, NC.
