with her were her son John R. Evans, 25, and his wife Hester; daughter Sallie Evans, 16; and sons Lonnie,
13, and Marion 7.
In 1930, "L. Emmaline" Evans, 77, resided with her son "Roscoe M. Evans" (head of household) and his
family at Flat Creek, along with her oldest son, William H. Evans, a bachelor.
Several members of the Evans family, including James A. Evans and Laura E. Gentry Evans, are buried at
Morgan Hill Baptist Church, north Buncombe County, NC.
