Vernon and Ivora Maney went west after marriage. They are mentioned in a letter written by George
Leonard Farmer to Ivora's father about 1917. The letter indicates that they were working in sugar-beet
farming in Colorado. Vernon died there, and Ivora then returned to North Carolina.
