Notes:

In 1860, John Reynolds and Therressa Shepherd Reynolds lived in Asheville, NC, with one child, James, age 3. John, 28,
was already occupied as a physician, and claimed real estate valued at $4000 and personal property valued at $3475.

In 1870, John and Therressa had a large household with four children,  plus Therressa's older sister Cordelia Adams and
Cordelia's son Joseph Adams. There were a black servant and a child: Harriet Vance, cook, age 25; and Leher Vance, 5.
John, again listed as physician, claimed real property worth $13,000, and personal property worth $600.

In 1880, Therressa was widowed head of household in Asheville, with these children at home: Anna, Minnie, Ora, Carrie,
Carl, and Ada. This census (others differ) lists Carrie and Carl as both age 8. Were they twins?

In 1900, Therressa was head of a large household at 88 Main Street, Asheville. Daughter Ada, 25, was still at home. Also
present were daughter Minnie with her husband Sheperd Chapman and four children, as well as nine boarders. Son Carl
was married, and in his own household nearby at 23 Woodfin Street. This census indicated that Therressa had ten children
of whom six were living. Can anyone identify the other two not listed above?
